Knowing God is not about religion, it is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. To know God, you must have a relationship with Christ. The Bible teaches in John 3:16 that God so loved the world so that He gave His only son to die so we shall not perish yet have everlasting life. So the question is- How can you have everlasting life? If you would like to receive Jesus Christ into your life and heart, then all you need to do is pray a simple prayer with sincerity. Dear Jesus, come into my life. I admit that I am a sinner, I repent of my sin and I confess that you are my Lord and Saviour that has risen from the dead and died for my sins. In Jesus name, I pray. If you just prayed this prayer and meant it, then Jesus Christ has taken residence in your heart. In Revelation 3:20, Christ says behold I stand at the door and knock, whoever opens the door, I shall come in. Our Lord is a gentleman, he will never force anyone to repent. Yet, he will gracefully and lovingly be there to accept you into his kingdom. May the power of the Holy Spirit come into your heart and guide and protect you.
